Introduction
Wedge Anchors are a non-bottom bearing, wedge-style expansion anchor for use in solid concrete or grout-filled concrete masonry. A one-piece clip ensures uniform holding capacity that increases as tension is applied. Wedge Anchors are among the most common and economical anchoring option for existing concrete. Available in carbon steel with a zinc plated finish. Zinc plating sacrifices itself, corroding before the base material, offering added corrosion resistance.

A wedge anchor is a mechanical type expansion anchor that consists of four parts
The threaded anchor body expansion clip, nut and washer, permanently preassembled into a single unit
The carbon steel rob is threaded for a portion of its length
The extreme end of the threaded portion is rounded to protect the threads from damage while the anchor is being driven into the hole drilled in the concrete
A precision formed universal clip made of carbon steel is permanently assembled around the necked down diameter to complete the anchor
Applications
Wedge anchors can be used in numerous applications as long as the base material is solid concrete. Unlike many other concrete fasteners, the wedge anchor cannot be used in brick or block
